Stories from the Eurobodalla and beyond...spot the van.

We have decided to take the plunge and add a blog to our website.  This is not your usual blog, here you will find information about new products, the places that we visit, the odd recipe (as we are on the South Coast of NSW and have fantastic local produce and seafood!) and all the adventures that we have on the road as we tour around our local area.  Yes, we specialise in replacing or repairing windscreens but we discover so much more in our line of work.  We are privileged to meet so many people with so many wonderful stories - and we will share some of those amazing tales here.

Have you spotted the van...just kidding check out our baby below.

For those of you who haven't had the privilege of meeting any of our staff I am going to take some time to introduce the team.

The first team member is Daniel - owner, lead technician, father of three boys and keen spear fisherman.  He spent 19 years as a Heavy Diesel Fitter and worked for his Dad in the windscreen business before taking the reigns.  He has a load of experience on all sorts of vehicles, heavy plant equipment and marine vessels.  He is meticulous in his work and his experience in the mechanical industry ensures that your pride and joy,  whatever that ever that may be, is in good hands.

On his down time he is a keen spear fisherman and loves to chase the Southern Blue Fin when they're in season down here.  Yes you read that right, he jumps in the water with a speargun and gets a tuna! When tuna season is back on we will no doubt be able to post some photos and recipes that showcase this great fish.  Dan also enjoys playing cricket in the summer and is a keen watcher of AFL and NRL in the winter.  So when he turns up at your place to fix your windscreen he is only too happy to chat about anything sports related.

The next member of the team is Josh - windscreen technician, local Moruya lad, 4x4, fishing and camping enthusiast.  He is also not a bad cook just quietly, ask him about one of his curries - we may even feature a Josh recipe at some point....shhh don't tell him yet!

He has been with us for the past 10 years or so and there is not much that he does not know about fitting windscreens - let's just say if its not in the repertoire it is probably not worth knowing!  His knowledge and experience mean that your car is in safe hands and he will have it back on the road in the blink of an eye.

He grew up in Moruya and knows his way around the back streets, generally making up good time if we are running a little late - so give him a wave when you see him out and about in the trusty van.

Lastly I am going to introduce myself - Beverley, owner, office manager, mum of three boys, budding tae kwon do student and yoga lover.

I spend most of my days in the office organising the lads, our customers appointments and all the paperwork that comes with a business.  You may occasionally find me out on the road with either Josh or Dan to lend a hand and see if there is any way that I can structure our days to be more efficient and customer focused.  I have worn many hats over the years: pharmacy assistant, nurse, massage therapist and call centre shift manager to name a few.   All of which have lent me certain skills that I use everyday when chatting to our lovely customers and local businesses.

In my down time I can be found trying to get to tae kwon do , going to yoga on Sundays and generally running around after three kids (and a hubby lol ).  I am a keen cook and look forward to sharing some of the meals that we create using the produce from the South Coast.

So if you are dropping you car off at the workshop come in and say hi, or if you manage to spot me in the van one day give me a big wave!
So there we are in a nutshell, our little South Coast Windscreens family, all here to help you get back on the road with as little down time as possible and to hear all your wonderful stories that make our community so diverse and rich.

Next time you see the van out and about please give a big wave to the lads and be sure to have the kettle on the boil when they get to your place.
